A brief description of each of our partners is outlined below:

Communities Scotland

On 1 November 2001, most of Scottish Homes functions transferred to Communities Scotland, the new Executive Agency of the Scottish Parliament.  Their aim is to work with others to improve the quality of life for people in Scotland by regenerating disadvantaged communities and helping deliver better housing.  As a top priority, they will clarify how they can build effective partnerships with people and communities, and with local authorities, local enterprise companies, health boards, local rural partnerships, the private sector and the voluntary sector.

Scottish Enterprise Dunbartonshire

Scottish Enterprise is Scotland's main economic development agency, funded by the Scottish Executive.  Their mission is to help the people and businesses of Scotland succeed.  In doing so, they aim to build a world-class economy.  Scottish Enterprise Dunbartonshire covers East and West Dunbartonshire, and the eastern part of Argyll & Bute.  It is a diverse area, covering 250 sq miles and including towns such as Clydebank, Dunbartonshire, Helensburgh, Bearsden and Milngavie.

West Dunbartonshire Partnership

Established in 1999, West Dunbartonshire Partnership is a partnership made up of the community, statutory and voluntary agencies who work together to tackle social exclusion in West Dunbartonshire.  They provide services to the most excluded members of society through programmes of work and projects (many of which are voluntary sector projects).  They bring together community members and local agencies and include local people in decision making on issues which affect them.

Bellsmyre Housing Association

Founded in September 1992 with an initial stock of 150 properties.  Bellsmyre Housing Association now own and manage a total of 610 properties within the Bellsmyre area of Dumbarton.  The Association also provides a management/factoring service for a further 445 owner-occupiers in Bellsmyre.

Clydebank Housing Association

Established by local residents in 1984 and working in partnership with Scottish Homes and with the local Authority, set out to improve housing and regenerate the central and east areas of the town.  In 1999, Clydebank Housing Association acquired over 750 houses in Clydebank from the previous landlord, Scottish Homes, increasing their stock to over 1100 houses and flats.

Dalmuir Park Housing Association

Has been in existence for 25 years and operates within the area of West Dunbartonshire, where they own a total of 676 properties.  In addition to this, Dalmuir Park Housing Association part owns 41 shared ownership properties and factor 120 owner occupied properties and 40 commercial units.

Dunbritton Housing Association

Have 446 properties throughout West Dunbartonshire and Helensburgh & Lomond.  The properties in West Dunbartonshire are predominantly new build.  In Helensburgh & Lomond the majority of properties are modernised houses previously purchased from Dumbarton District Council (now West Dunbartonshire Council) and Defense Housing Executive.

In addition Dunbritton have 13 rented properties that are leased to Support Agencies and 55 garages in Helensburgh that are rented to people.  Dunbritton has 68 shared ownership properties and factor 272 owner occupied properties.

Faifley Housing Association

Has been in operation for 10 years and has properties in the Faifley area.  They own and manage 320 properties for rent.  Faifley Housing Association is a not for profit community controlled housing organisation.  Members elect up to 15 people each year to form the Management Committee.  The Committee employs 7 professional staff to carry out the day to day running of the Association.

Knowes Housing Association

Established February 1998 and has properties in the Faifley area.  Knowes own and manage approximately 1000 proprieties.  The Association is a not for profit community housing organisation.

Link Housing Association

Provides a range of housing, property management and support services to over 6,200 customers in 23 Scottish local authority areas.  Link have been in operation for 40 years.

Trafalgar Housing Association

Established in February 1990.  Trafalgar own and manage 321 properties, 218 of the properties are in the Trafalgar area and 93 properties are in Kilbowie West area of Clydebank.  In addition they have 5 shared ownership properties and 5 owner occupier.  The Housing Association is a not for profit community based housing organisation.
